HISTORICAL SOURCE / KELLER 2009
2009 Keller reprint · inspected 25 October 2026
A separate historical engineering source, surfaced through Scribd. It helps explain the original foundations, elevated floors above SBR 1 & 2, and retaining wall. It adds context for interpreting the roof and wall features; it does not verify their current geometry.
These are historical paper findings, separate from the IWK GIS record above.
Paper section §3 · K01
Six twin reinforced-concrete SBR blocks are described at approximately 90 × 60 × 7 m high. A 25 mm separation is reported.
Limit: The exact joint location/detail is not established here. The separation is not tank-wall thickness; 7 m is structural height, not confirmed water depth.
Paper section §3 · K02
SBR 1 & 2 included two additional floors for offices and equipment storage.
Limit: Historical arrangement; present room divisions and use are unverified.
Paper section §3 · K03
A perimeter reinforced-concrete retaining wall up to 4 m high is described.
Limit: Historical retaining structure, not the current GIS site boundary. Its current height and route are unverified.
Paper section §4.3 · K04
VCC addressed garbage fill, CC served heavier structures, and VSC served lighter structures. VCC: vibro concrete columns; CC: cement columns; VSC: vibro stone columns.
Limit: Historical foundation design strategy; current ground conditions and foundation condition are unverified.
Paper section §6 · K05
VCC: SBR 1–2, 3–4 and 7–8. CC: SBR 5–6, 9–10 and 11–12.
Limit: Historical SBR numbering; no new positioning or fitting to the current drawing.
Paper section §4.2 · K06
Reported SBR foundation loads: 96–126 kPa. Design settlement: less than 75 mm; differential settlement: less than 1:360.
Limit: Historical design criteria, not measurements of present loading or settlement.
Paper section §6 · K07
All SBRs were hydrotested. Source-reported maximum settlements ranged from 5–20 mm over a 10-month observation period.
Limit: Historical testing observations, not current plant performance or condition.
Keller 2009 describes twin blocks at approximately 90 × 60 × 7 m. Raju 2010 reports 80 × 60 × 7 m; whether it uses the same grouping or measurement basis is unresolved.
The older 1.2 million ultimate PE and IWK’s Design PE 800000 have different stated bases. Their difference does not prove a capacity change.
No fitting or rescaling of the current drawing follows from these dimensions. A 7 m structural height is not a confirmed operating water depth.
Source S01 · Yee, Chua & Yandamuri, Foundation Works for a Sewage Treatment Plant Using Ground Improvement Methods in Malaysia, 2009; Keller technical-paper reprint 10-65E. Sections are retained for checking each paraphrase. This sheet republishes facts, not the full paper or its figures.
How to read the records, source dates, and what remains unverified.
Source facts and interpretation limits
01 / CAPACITY FIELDS
Design PE and Population are separate source fields. Their dates and measurement basis are not supplied. Their difference alone does not establish present overload, treatment performance or compliance.
02 / LAND & CODES
Land Area is recorded without a displayed unit. Newsource Code TO4, Land Status RL-FLC and EFFS TD DOE B are reproduced verbatim; definitions were not supplied.
03 / ENGINEERING DETAIL
ACTIVATED SLUDGE is a broad process classification. No tank dimensions, reactor count, heights, depths or current as-built details were delivered. The GIS outline has not been verified against a survey.
This page preserves the purchased record alongside its map evidence. The observation date records when the extract was inspected, not the age of the underlying dataset.
